Meet my incredible parents –
Stephano and Serena.
As of 2025, they’re in their mid-70s, finally retired and getting to enjoy the slower, sweeter side of life after decades of running small businesses – the long hours, constant responsibility, and a lot of sacrifice that most people never see.
When I was younger, traveling with my parents wasn’t even on my radar. I was focused on my own adventures. But as I got older (and wiser), something shifted. I realized how precious our time together really is and how quickly it slips away if you’re not intentional.
So I made myself a promise: Plan 2–3 trips with my parents every single year, whether it’s just the three of us or part of a bigger family adventure.
We started with U.S. destinations, then slowly ventured abroad. By the end of 2025, we’ll have shared 14 unforgettable adventures across North America, Europe, and Asia, with more already in the works.
Because this is the unavoidable truth: My time with my parents is limited, especially because we live on opposite sides of the country. And that reality hits harder with every passing year. So traveling has become our sacred time — the space where we reconnect, laugh, explore new places, and create memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
How do you like to spend your time with your parents and/or older loved ones?
